This feature will be present beginning December 28, 2020
Following the Winter 2020 update to GauchoSpace, there will be a new interface for adding Activities and Resources to a course page. This interface has a Recommended, All and the option for a Starred tab to sort Activities and Resources. This update has also done away with the Advanced Tools toggle and displays all Activities and Resources. To view the new Activity chooser follow these steps:
1.) Click on "Turn editing on" yellow button, shown on the top right corner of the webpage.
2.) Then, go to the desired week, click on "+ Add an activity or resource."
Previously, a pop up would appear, showing a separated list of activities and resources. With our new GauchoSpace, you will see a tab with a list of Recommended Activities and Resources as well as a tab for All.
When choosing an activity/resource, the default mode shows the "Recommended" tab, which includes the most frequently used activities and resources by instructors and TAs. Simply click on the image of any activities or resources you would like to add on your course page.
If you'd like to explore more, click on the "All" tab next to the "Recommended" tab on top. Here you'll see many other activities and resources that can be added to your course:
One of the unique features of our updated GauchoSpace is the "Starred" function. Each activity/resource image icon has a star button below. When you click on the star, that specific activity will now become a "favorite" activity, which will then automatically create a "Starred" tab, next to the "All" and "Recommended" tabs on top:
Your favorite starred activity will now show on the Starred tab:
Note: For your other courses, when you add an activity or resource, you will continue to see your Starred tab; all the starred activities/resources will remain the same within the tab.
To learn more about a specific activity or a resource, next to the star, click on the "i" (information) button:
When you click the "i" button, a brief description of the activity/resource will appear, as shown below:
