Before downloading and signing in to Zoom, all UCSB users must authenticate their accounts.
Your email address is the universal identifier for UCSB access to online programs and software. It is important to verify that all programs refer to the same email address.
To do so, open up your web browser and go to the UCSB Zoom homepage which is at ucsb.zoom.us.
Click on the sign-in link in the upper right corner.
This will take you to the UCSB single sign-on page.
Use your UCSB net ID credentials to sign in to Zoom.
Once logged in, click on the user profile icon in the upper right hand corner of your browser to view the email address associated with your Zoom account.
Take note of this email address.
In a second browser window, go to UCSB’s Identity and Access Management page. Found here.
You may be prompted to login to UCSB’s SSO.
The page will look like this:
Click Edit [YOUR NAME]'s profile
Here, verify that the UCSB Default email is the same as previously noted on your Zoom account
If the email addresses are different, enter the address from your Zoom sign-in as an alternative email address under “secondary department email”,
select that one and update your profile.
