Instructional Development recommends GauchoCast (a Panopto service) for recording, uploading, downloading, and editing course videos. GauchoCast is a viable cloud hosting website that processes and stores video and audio media. GauchoCast videos can be seamlessly distributed to students enrolled in a course through GauchoSpace. It offers unlimited storage for videos with streaming and editing capabilities. It is FERPA compliant and provides several levels of privacy control. Additionally, users will have the option to embed quizzes, YouTube links, and closed captioning into their GauchoCast videos. Instructors can use Panopto to record their audio and video sources and upload them to GauchoCast where they are processed into viewable sessions.
To get started with GauchoCast, check out the Self-Guided Workshop or visit the GauchoCast Help Center for more information.
