How can I restore a Zoom meeting that was deleted?
If you attempt to join or start a meeting that no longer exists, you may encounter an error message stating: “This meeting ID is not valid.” This means that either the meeting session has been deleted by the host or the non-recurring meeting has expired (scheduled timeframe has passed).
Meeting sessions that were removed, either by accident or on purpose, can be restored within 7 days of deletion. After 7 days, meetings will be permanently deleted.
You can find a list of recently deleted meetings on your UCSB Zoom account profile page: https://ucsb.zoom.us/profile.
Sign in with your UCSBnetID credentials and then navigate to the Meetings tab on the left hand panel.
There is a link on that page titled Recently Deleted.
Click on that link and your recently deleted sessions will be listed out on that page.
The recently deleted page will allow you to recover or permanently delete previous Zoom sessions that were removed from your account’s meetings list. Once again, this only applies to meetings that were deleted within a 7 day time period. After 7 days, sessions sitting in the recently deleted page will be automatically removed and become permanently unrecoverable.
Note: Only the person that created the meeting (usually the Host) can recover prior meetings. If a missing meeting is not displayed under the Recently Deleted page, then either the 7 day time period has passed or the meeting was scheduled under someone else's account.
