Sometimes students will provide a reasonable answer to a "Missing Word" or "Short Answer" question type that was not anticipated when setting up the quiz, however these questions are automatically graded by quiz. Usually, you can edit the possible answers and have the Quiz recalculate all grades. In some special cases, you may like to override points awarded for a specific question for a few students. If this is the case, follow the steps below:
1.Enter your quiz, and got the the Administration block. Click "Results"
2. On the Results page, go to you Administration block and click "Responses".
3. Look for the student(s) for whom you would like to change the number of points awarded for a question. Click "Review attempt" under their name. In the example below, we would like to award partial credit for a Short Answer quiz question.
4. In the Review Attempt window, scroll to the question for which you would like to override the number of points awarded. Click "Make comment or override points" located under the question.
5. On the subsequent page, you can leave a comment and/or change the number of points awarded for the question. Click Save at the bottom.
