The Spring 2019 Gauchospace update includes several features to improve Gauchospace integration with Google. There is a new tool called Google Course Kit that is an alternative to Gauchospace Assignment tool, and there are improvements to the existing Gauchospace Assignment tool to help promote seamless Google integration.
1. Google Course Kit is a feature that allows seamless integration of files on your Google Drive with Gauchospace. It has its own reviewing and submission interface, allowing all feedback as well as content to be contained on instructors' and students' UCSB Google Drive accounts. For more information about setting up assignments, please see Course Kit Assignments.
2. Google Drive converter: Previously, Gauchospace's integrated Assignment grading interface worked only with submitted PDF files. However, now due to Google integration, most file types will be converted to be able to be used with the grading interface.
3. Google Drive repository: In addition to uploading via the file picker on Gauchospace's Assignment tool, students can also upload files directly from their Google Drive.
