How do I link existing course content to a UCSB Home Page?

1. Import the “UCSB Resources” Page from Commons into your Canvas course
2. Navigate to the UCSB home page in your Canvas course
3. Click “Edit”

4. Delete “UCSB Resources”

5. Click the link icon and select “Course Link”

6. Click “Pages” and select “UCSB Resources”

7. Highlight “UCSB Resources” in the horizontal navigation bar

8. Click the font color icon and choose black for contrast

9. Click “Save”

Alternatively, link other course content or an external resource.

1. Navigate to the UCSB home page in your Canvas course
2. Click “Edit”

3. Scroll down to “Jump to a Module”

4. Delete the language from the first row. If you accidentally delete the row, undo that change by clicking Edit > Undo in the Rich Content Editor’s menu

5. Click the link icon and select “Course Link”

6. Click “Modules” and click on a module. The name of the module will appear in the row.

7. Repeat the above steps until all links are updated
8. Highlight all the links

9. Click the font color icon and choose black for contrast

10. Click “Save”
