If you imported a UCSB home page from Commons, update the links following these instructions.
- Import the “UCSB Resources” Page from Commons into your Canvas course
- Navigate to the UCSB home page in your Canvas course
- Click “Edit”
- Delete “UCSB Resources”
- Click the link icon and select “Course Link”
- Click “Pages” and select “UCSB Resources”
- Highlight “UCSB Resources” in the horizontal navigation bar
- Click the font color icon and choose black for contrast
- Click “Save”
Alternatively, link other course content or an external resource.
- Navigate to the UCSB home page in your Canvas course
- Click “Edit”
- Scroll down to “Jump to a Module”
- Delete the language from the first row. If you accidentally delete the row, undo that change by clicking Edit > Undo in the Rich Content Editor’s menu
- Click the link icon and select “Course Link”
- Click “Modules” and click on a module. The name of the module will appear in the row.
- Repeat the above steps until all links are updated
- Highlight all the links
- Click the font color icon and choose black for contrast
- Click “Save”
Note that to view this page as your home page, you have to set it up as a Front Page and choose “Pages front page” as your home page.
