When the content from one course is imported into a new course that has a different number of topics/weeks than the original course, the surplus content is "orphaned." This is common when a course from a 10/11-week academic quarter is imported into a 6-week summer course.
To make the orphaned materials available to students, follow the instructions for changing the number of weeks/topics on your GauchoSpace site:
- Log in to GauchoSpace and enter your course site.
- In the Administration Block click Edit Settings.
- In the Course Format section use the drop-down menu to choose the number of weeks/topics you would like under number of sections.
- Click Save changes at the bottom of the page.
At that point, you can move the resources around as you like and then return the course format to the previous number of weeks/topics, or leave the course format in its new configuration.
