It is highly recommend to remove your old LSIT email account from all of your devices and email clients. If your old LSIT email account is still paired on your device, it still periodically communicates with the old email servers. This can create unnecessary issues and error messages - especially once the servers permanently go offline. All supported departments under LSIT have already migrated over to Google's email services - all of your data has already been migrated and is accessible through your Connect account.
Removing email accounts from your iOS device:
1.) Unlock your iOS device and click on 'Settings' > 'Mail' > 'Accounts'
2.) Choose your old LSIT email account. You can verify this by selecting the account under the IMAP settings. The incoming Host Name will be 'imap.lsit.ucsb.edu' and the outgoing will be 'smtp.lsit.ucsb.edu.'
3.) Once you have confirmed your old LSIT email account, you can delete it. Your device may warn you that your data will be lost - but it has already been backed up and migrated and is accessible on your new Connect account.
