Create new Functional Account:
- Connect Functional Accounts are visible in the CAP by clicking the "Functional Accounts" button. Before creating a new account you may want to browse though your existing functional accounts to make sure you're not creating a duplicate.
- Click the "create functional" button to begin providing the account information.
- Provide a Display Name for the account, a Connect Address, optionally provide a Department Address, and then select which address type you'd like to use on outbound mail for this account. Click the "preview create" button when done and verify the account information.
- Click the "confirm create" button to trigger account creation; the process will take anywhere from 10-30 minutes. Once it's done, the new account will be displayed in your functional account list with a status of "activated".
- Once the account is active, you can set its password by clicking on the entry to view the record detail, and then click the "change password" button. We recommend that the CDA set the password and keep a record of the individuals to whom they've given access.
