An activity is typically something that a student will do, such as submit an assignment or participate in a forum. A resource is an item that an instructor can share with students, such as a file or a link. There are many types of activities and resources available for use in GauchoSpace.
How to add an activity or resource:
- Click Turn editing on (shown on the top right corner of the webpage).
- Scroll to to the desired week. Then, click +Add an activity or resource.
- You will see a tab for Recommended activities and resources and a tab for All activities and resources.
The Recommended tab includes the most frequently used activities and resources by instructors and TAs. This is the default display when adding a new activity or resource. To add a resource to your course page, click on the image of the desired activities or resources.
To see all available activities or resources, click the All tab. Here, you will see many other activities and resources that can be added to your course site.
Instructors and Editing TAs can star activities and resources to create their own custom activity/resource menu. Below each activity, there is a star button. If you click on the star, a Starred tab will be automatically created. The starred activity will be added to the tab.
Your favorite starred activities will now show on the Starred tab:
Note: Activities within your Starred tab will remain consistent across all of your courses.
To learn more about a specific activity or a resource, click the "i" (information) button.
This opens up a brief description of the activity or resource.
