Box Drive maps your Box account to your desktop for ease of access, editing, and updating your files. Simply download the Box Drive client here to begin: https://www.box.com/resources/downloads/drive.
Once installed, you'll need to sign in with your UCSBnetID@ucsb.edu username and respective NetID password. Next, you'll be directed to the standard SSO login window, which requires your UCSBnetID and password. Your files will begin to index and become available from this window.
Be sure to take advantage of Box Drive's backup capabilities by always accessing and editing your files through this window. Opening, editing, and saving files behave the same as if the file were locally saved, without taking up space on your local drive.
If you're not connected to the internet and need access to some of your files, Box Drive offers Offline Mode and their newest iteration: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043697574-Making-Content-Available-Offline. Select your highly visited files before travelling or going on extended trips to ensure you have access.
